1. Teaching Fellow in Infrastructure, Civil, Structural, Environmental Engineering or Architecture (closed)
Person Specification
· Speaks fluently Ukrainian and English
· Hold PhD in Civil and/or Structure and/or Infrastructure and/or Environmental Engineering and/or Architecture
· Has knowledge and can apply Eurocodes for the design of structures and infrastructure
· Higher degree relevant to research or teaching area or equivalent qualifications
· High level analytical capability
· Ability to design and deliver module materials successfully
· Ability to assess and organise resources effectively
· Understanding of and ability to contribute to broader management/administration processes
Main Duties
· Contribute to generating funding and may: a) contribute to enhancement of the student experience or employability or integration to the country of origin (Ukraine); b) contribute to designing MOOC and CPD programmes for clients external to the University and similar; c) contribute to deliver CPD programmes, consulting on own specialism and the like, often under the supervision of a project leader.
· Be able to travel to Ukraine to identify and assist a number of Ukrainian universities to update existing or develop new syllabuses.
· Teaching within own subject area within an established programme, under the supervision from an academic member of staff.
· Ability to develop curricula, CPD, and modules in Civil Engineering, infrastructure, restoration and rehabilitation of structures and critical infrastructures according to the programme.
· Delivery of lectures
· Develop the Massive Open Online Course and similar Technology Enhanced Learning materials, CPDSs and deliver materials for Microcredentials as described by the programme.
· Supervision of research and educational activities relevant to the programme.
· Develop novel methodologies and techniques appropriate to the type of the educational activities pursued.
· Pursuing personal research, including developing research ideas, and acquiring support, including financial support around the scope of the MOOC, CPDs, Microcredentials and other education-related activities of the programme.

2. Project Manager to manage the project “Empower Ukraine” (closed)
Role Summary
To manage the project “Empower Ukraine” of the School of Engineering and make a contribution to larger University-wide projects as part of the School of Engineering Professional Services staff. In order to flexibly use resource you may be offered the opportunity to work elsewhere in the department or wider University.
Responsibilities include pursuing accessibility with Ukrainian Professional Engineering Bodies, maintaining liaison with the Ministry of Restoration to understand needs and alignment, bringing new collaborations, organising workshops, actively seeking support, managing social media and outreach activities, and identifying ways to update the MOOC of the “Empower Ukraine” project. The manager will also engage with lecturers/researchers for the delivery of CPDs, organise a two-day online international conference, build a community of practice based on interactions and develop participatory schemes for the reconstruction of Ukraine.
Main Duties
Responsible for the delivery of one or more projects or for contributing to larger University projects, through the provision of significant and high level project management support.
This may include some or all of the following as specific to the Empower Ukraine project: Support the development of the Massive Open Online Course, CPD seminars (presentation, lecture notes, assessment such as tests, quizzes, surveys etc)
Speak fluent Ukrainian and English (Desirable for the delivery of the project)
